In 1984 Michel Roux, then President/CEO of Carillon came up with the ingenious idea of using art as a marketing strategy for Absolut Vodka. The award winning advertising campaign was well underway when the Absolut Artist concept was launched. ABSOLUT WARHOL was the first and an immediate success. Then Keith Haring was commissioned and the art chain continued with Kenny Scharf, Ed Ruscha, Arman, George Rodrigue, Romero Britto, Al Hirschfeld and the list goes on.
